Mochi, that's how we do it!




Today lunch x, x integrate my dish, I cook some nice handles Mochi. The
Mochi is a sweet made of rice produced in a particular way, Wikipedia explains it better than me ... I buy it already done in small rectangular blocks, small blocks under vacuum.

Mochi The food is really crazy, the ones that make you say "W the Japanese." They use it in many ways, mainly to make desserts.
It is indeed sweet rice, although accustomed to our western taste and marshmallow Kinder fetta al latte could probably be a bit 'confusing to most people.
I started to eat Mochi when I got pregnant. And 'in fact a real bomb of nutrients, iron and vitamins, great replacement supplements. During lactation and is perfect, a real medicine, ideal for stimulating milk production. It is found in natural food stores and shops macrobiotic, and I know that in Italy if they are of two types, the classic (which has a brownish beige color) and enriched with mugwort leaves (black, best for mothers indeed, given the exceptional properties of this plant).


We often eat it in the oven, is the fastest way (but also less tasty). Just cut blocks in many Mochi cubes, place them on a baking sheet and place in oven. When the cubes begin to swell like balloons, is ready!

Or you can cut it into strips and place on a baking tray of vegetables, perhaps garnished with cream of rice, it is definitely good and is a good substitute for cheese. Last
way I know to cook it: Cut the block into small pieces and melt in a saucepan with water. In this way it can be mixed with a sauce of vegetables to flavor a risotto or a pasta or soup.
