The oldest was called Frank and he was twenty. The youngest was Ted and he was eighteen. They were always together, very close friends from elementary. Together they decided to join the army. Starting promised themselves and their parents that they would
care of each other. They were lucky and ended up in the same battalion.
That battalion was sent to war. A terrible war between the burning sands of the desert. For some time Frank and Ted remained in camps protected by aviation. Then one night he was ordered to advance into enemy territory.
The soldiers advanced through the night, under the threat of hellfire.
the morning, the battalion gathered in a village. But Ted was not there.
Frank looked for him everywhere, including the wounded, among the dead. He found his name in the list of missing.
went to the commander.
"I ask permission to go to get my friend," he said.
'It is too dangerous, "said the commander. "I've already lost your friend.
miss you.'re Out there shooting."
Frank equal parts. After a few hours he found Ted mortally wounded.
hoisted it on his shoulders. But a splinter hit him. It also dragged to the field.
"It was worth dying to save a dead man?" Shouted the captain.
"Yes" she whispered, "because before he died, Ted told me, Frank, I knew you'd come."
say to God at that moment: "I knew you'd come."
